About the club
A small, independent catalogue of places to play chess and classic board games online.
Quiet Move Club reviews browser platforms for chess, draughts, Go and other classic board games. We describe what each platform offers, how it pays its way, how much time it tends to ask for and who it suits, and we link to the official site so you can judge for yourself.
Who writes it
The reviews and guides are written and kept up to date by the club’s editorial team. We sign them as a team rather than as individuals.
What we don’t do
- We don’t host games.
- We don’t accept payment for listings or positions, and we don’t use referral links.
- We don’t publish user reviews, scores or star ratings.
Why “quiet move”
In chess, a quiet move is one that captures nothing and gives no check, yet improves the position. It is a fair description of what we try to do: no noise, just a slightly better-informed choice.
